You want me to carry you? [ It's an entirely legitimate question because Jim will absolutely do it. Once the car's come to a stop he undoes his seatbelt, and he makes a good effort to run all the way to the driver's seat just so he can slide his palm over the top of Pepper's door and greet her there.
His smile is crooked as he holds his arm out bent at the elbow. His breathing is a fraction more laboured than it should be, but it's all worth it for the cheesy faux prince act. ]

[ For all his exhaustion for most of the day, all his energy's come back at apparently sometime around midnight. Jim's brows waggle. ]
I… ( as sweet ( and tempting ) as his offer is she shakes her head. ) No. It’s alright. I think I can still walk. ( or so she hopes. she takes a few moments to herself, hoping that her third wind hits her, so she, too, can have a little bit of energy. )
( when he hurries out of the car and rushes around to meet her she smiles, leaning out to lay a kiss on his forehead. ) Leading is fine. ( she takes his hand and moves out of the car, pressing in close… and then impossibly closer. ) I guess the fun really does start tonight.
( she presses another couple of kissing along his jaw line and up to his ear. ) It’ll be nice to unwind~.
[ The lilting tone of Pepper's voice sends the tiniest shiver running along Jim's spine.
He doesn't fight it. Jim smiles as he turns his head just enough to kiss her lips.
There's a significant difference between kissing in the car and kissing standing up. Like this he can wrap an arm around Pepper's waist while stroking the back of his hand; Jim touches the edge of his teeth to her lip, gives her some notion of them being there without seeking more just yet.
It's cold outside, but Jim smiles as warm as hot cocoa. ] C'mon, Potts. [ So he says as he leads her into his house, their fingers locked together. ]
( and she returns his kiss, eager for another as he wings his arms around her. she circles her own around his neck and leans up, the subtle graze of his teeth prompting her to part her lips. ) Jim... ( she kisses him again, inviting him to deepen it... but it's short lived, because they certainly can't stay out here all night. )
Mm, alright, let's head inside. ( she shivers. ) It is a bit chilly... so maybe you can help warm me up.

[ Jim ducks his head and chuckles as he leads Pepper into his home.
They could settle on the couch, but he decides his room is better. He pulls his coat off, undoes his tie, and without any particular sense of style or grace he plops into bed over his comforter.
All Jim has to do to get comfortable is to pop his first button, but he does watch Pepper fondly before making space for her. His bed isn't big in the least; he intends on holding her practically the whole time, however, so it's not like that's a problem. ]
Do your feet feel free yet? [ When she joins him, his arm cradles her body almost immediately, as if Jim can't stay away long. ] Was taking your heels off as liberating as you expected?
( she cracks a small smile and nudges him playfully. as soon as she’s inside she steps out of her heels and breathes a sigh of relief. it feels so nice to finally have a chance to get a little r&r. pulling her hair tie out she lets it fall free, fingers combing through it so she can fix it as best she can. )
I do actually. ( she climbs onto the bed and curls up in his arms. ) It’s the second best thing of the day. ( she kisses the butt of his chin. ) First is getting to see you.
I like the park. [ Jim likes the grass, the birds, the people watching. He likes buying balloons in the summer. It's really only nearing spring, so that last thing might not count, but it doesn't make the place sound any less attractive. ] I like the skate rink.
[ If he dips his head he can touch their noses together. There's the faintest hint of the scent of coffee between them both, which is enough for him to close the rest of the distance necessary to give Pepper another kiss. ]
